Here is a two-color blackwork bookmark pattern. The pattern can also be used for a towel, around the neck of a shirt, or anywhere you want to add just a touch of color and class.

NOTE: I stitched the sample bookmark in the picture using the colors listed and a narrow 14-count Ribband strip and two strands of floss. The colors used can be changed. To keep the effect of the bookmark above, use colors that contrast well. For subtle shading of the design, use different shades of the same color.
